PEELING GEL: A REVIEW

It is Winter time and with Winter comes dry, flaky skin. To help alleviate that problem, I would like to introduce you to a Holy Grail product for me, secretKey Lemon Sparkling Peeling Gel. I have tried quite a few gommage peels and none have worked as well as this one!

THE INGREDIENTS

The key ingredients for the SecretKey Lemon Sparkling Peeling Gel are lemon and sparkling water. The citric acid from the lemon helps to get rid of impurities like makeup, sunscreen, dirt, pollution, and dead skin cells by softening them and making them easier to remove. The carbonated water then removes the impurities and they “peel” off your face.

Gommage peels are interesting. While it may look like you are peeling off chunks of skin from your face, it is a combination of dirt, dead skin cells and leftover makeup and sunscreen as well as the peel itself which has interacted with the oils in your skin.

THE REVIEW

I love the secretKey Lemon Sparkling Peeling Gel because after using it, my skin is much smoother, I absorb skincare products better and my makeup looks better on my skin. It works really fast, whereas gommage products I have used before have to sit on your skin for a while. I don’t know about you, but I am not a fan of leaving a sticky gel on my face for 10 minutes while it works. I just put the peel on my face, gently rub and then wipe my face off with a warm washcloth. I also love that my skin doesn’t feel stripped after I use the peel.

I have already repurchased this product many times over in the four years since I have begun using it. I love it and while I continue to try new products, none have impressed me like the secretKey Lemon Sparkling Peeling Gel.
