ISNTREE HYALURONIC ACID

WATERY SUN GEL & PERFECT SUN BLOCK REVIEW

CHEN TENG on JULY 24, 2020

All summer long I have been stocking up on all the sunscreen that I can get my hands on. I wear sunscreen every day regardless of the weather, but especially in the summer, it is important to find one suitable for the specific conditions of heat, humidity, and more. I was especially excited to have the opportunity to try out the sunscreen products from the brand Isntree. Isntree is a Korean brand that I find myself going back to time and time again. All of their products are formulated without any parabens, synthetic dyes, or artificial fragrances.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

While this was my first time trying out sunscreen products from the brand, I already felt excitement after seeing ‘hyaluronic acid’ on the packaging. Hyaluronic Acid is an incredibly moisturizing element that is great for keeping the skin moisturized and preventing it from drying out under the hot sun. It comes in a typical tube packaging that is a great size for popping into my bag when I’m on-the-go.

INGREDIENTS

I tried out both of their ‘Hyaluronic acid Watery Sun Gel’ and the ‘Hyaluronic Acid Perfect Sun Block’. Both sunscreens have both SPF50+ and PA++++, which means they effectively block out both UVA and UVB rays.  These sunscreens also have a formula containing eight different types of hyaluronic acid that lock in moisture regardless if you are outside under the heat of the sun or indoors cooling off with some AC. Both products also contain Pinus Pinaster Bark Extract that helps with skin elasticity, Centella Asiatica, and Fig Extract to help soothe the skin and lastly Adenosine for wrinkle care.

KEY DIFFERENCES

There are some key differences between the two sunscreens. The Perfect Sun Block has more of a lightweight lotion texture that I had preferred to use if I expected to be outdoors for an extended period of time or would have been doing more strenuous physical activity. The Hyaluronic Acrid Water Sun Gel is ideal for a simple day out on the town. It has more of an aqua gel texture that was great to use prior to touching up my makeup throughout the day. It felt even lighter than the perfect sunblock where I could see myself using more often, even in the winter.

FINAL THOUGHTS

For my everyday wear, I prefer the watery sun gel only because it feels lighter out of the two products. If I were traveling somewhere for maybe camping or swimming, I would prefer to use the Perfect Sun Block instead. I really enjoyed testing both sunscreens and loved that during application they didn’t feel heavy or irritate my skin at all. I think any skin type would work well with either of these sunscreens. Give them a try, I’m sure your skin will thank you for it later!
