This is a bit more brown than it is black, but it fits fine with my black eyebrows and pale skin. My eyebrows are pretty full already so I don't fill them in that much, just enough to finish the shape. The color is good because it looks very natural. Also, because of the slanted edge it's easier to apply (thank God for that). If you're a beginner with eyebrows, this is perfect because it's easy to use. The spoolie at the end is great for evening the product over the eyebrows.
