Okay so I guess I should talk about the smell first since that was what I was most curious about since I had no idea what beet smells like... BUT ACTUALLY the smell of this toner is very citrus-y! Smells like oranges and I love it!!! The smell might be a bit strong for some people so if you're sensitive to smell I would consider something else. As for the consistency, it's very light and watery. What I love most about it is that it is very light yet moisturizing on the skin and it doesn't leave my skin feeling oily or tight! As for the brightening effect, I can't really say I noticed a difference but then again I've only used it for a week and a half... But overall I love this product! <3
