The sponge comes pre-moistened in the package and you simply open the packet and its ready to use. I use this to cleanse my face in the morning instead of a cleanser and it does a decent job to freshen my face without stripping it too much. It provides a gentle yet effective exfoliation. The only slight negatives I have to say are the shape and the time it takes to dry. It round so i find it can be more difficult to get around the nose area compared to if it were a tear drop shape and also I find it takes a couple of days to dry, which can cause it to age faster and promote bacterial growth. Otherwise its a great product, cheap and effective.
