The cleanser has no scent and is gentle on the skin. There are bits of green tea leaves but that didn't bother me. 

My face doesn't get red after washing, especially because I have sensitive skin and some harsh cleansers irritate my skin. I would recommend this to someone who has sensitive acne prone skin!
