This toner is an essential step when using AHA or BHA and since they have worked so well for me, this deserves to be highly rated as well. I don't use AHA or BHA everyday, but I use this every day because I have found that if I tone with this after cleansing, I have fewer dry patches. I think the mildly acidic formula combined with the cotton pad I use for application leads to super gentle exfoliation. I find this toner absolutely essential, especially during winter or the transition from hot to cold, cold to hot, which is usually when my skin rebels.
