This powder is a perfect setting powder.  I use it to set my foundation or BB cream, and it sets it beautifully. I have dry skin, and this doesn't catch on to my skin or look flakey and my pores are minimized.  The color is very faint and comes off as a more translucent effect, so I think many skin tones can wear this powder. As for controlling sebum, I think if you have oily skin, you will need to reapply with this powder somewhat often as I found it doesn't control oil as much as the original powder. Still overall a great product.
