This does give a slight blur effect but not a lot. It doesn't completely cover my pores or keep my makeup on for longer either. It does however make my skin feel smooth. But I have extremely oily skin so if you have combo or less oily skin than I do (after 2 hours with primer,foundation,powder,setting spray I start to shine a little) and don't have huge pores this would be a good primer.
