All the above reviews say it all, especially Antoinette's. Thanks folks!!!
I got "Black Plum" for F/W and I confirm everything is lovable about my 1st Holika Holika eye makeup item: very smudge proof, yet easy to remove with oil-type cleanser; original shade and color pay off; glides beautifully.
This is my go-to pencil to tightline my upper lid and that's a prowess because I gave up crayons ages ago for that particular technique! (I usually favor gel liners pots)
This shade is so flattering against my chocolate eyes and the effect is more subtle than stark black. Because of this, my eyes look REALLY big, yet not in an artificial way at all :)
Just make sure to work quite fast because being a long-wear product, it dries and sets quickly.
Although the body of the pencil looks so sturdy, it sharpens like a dream with my Sephora pencil sharpener. The tip doesn't crush at the bottom of my sharpener either, which is a great asset for such a creamy formula!
I also confirm the quality of this product really really rivals much expensive counterparts.
For ex., I own Charlotte Tilbury's Rock 'N' Kohl Iconic Liquid Eyeliner Pencil which boasts similar qualities. It's an excellent product btw but it costs... 30 US$/ 19 UK£!!!!!
And the irony is, despite its drugstore price point, the Holika Holika pencil neither looks, nor feels cheapo at all. The object itself is superb, magical and mischievous.
I will definitely buy other colors - the choice is wow - and recommend this as an introduction eye-liner to Korean makeup newcomers!!!
