Like all the other reviewers, I bought this product after trying the sample Jolse sent me!

I use it when I feel like my skin is a bit dull and needs a bit of a 'wakening' (e.g., after a late night).  The product really does gives off such a subtle natural glow!!  It also has the added benefit of SPF 50+

I haven't found it particularly drying (but I have combination skin).  It also doesn't have a very strong smell.

Overall, if you're after a subtle brightening product I would recommend the base, because it really does make a difference in terms of giving you some shine but not an over-the-top shine.  (If you want *more* shine, add a highlighter on top!)
