Time Frame: ~1 month as of writing this review
Skin type: normal/oily, not acne prone |
Climate: arid desert |
Skin Concerns: CCs, PIH/PIE
Texture: a little bit sticky even once it dries down, but it's hardly noticeable
Fragrance: light citrus scent
Effects: I used this for lightening hyperpigmentation and it works wonderfully. Some of my facial PIH looked noticeably lighter after a few uses (or maybe that's just my imagination?); however, I know that this definitely works because I've also been applying some to a very red mark on my ankle from a small 4-month-old wound. The mark was incredibly stubborn and the darkest/reddest mark I've ever had--my legs look for any reason to get hyperpigmentation--but it finally began to fade after using C20 on it twice a day after a few weeks. After about 1 month, the spot has faded from red to a light brown.
Unfortunately, after about two weeks of use, I started to get closed comedones on my cheeks from the C20 serum, so I've stopped using it on my face. Personally, I think my face is just sensitive to products that are maybe too rich/thick; I'm considering testing this out on my face again, but with less moisturizers in my routine. I'll continue to use this on any PIH I get on my body, though.
On the other hand, my mother uses this for dark spots/aging and the C20 has been non-irritating for her. So, as always, patch test and YMMV!
