This essence was my first encounter with snail mucin so it did take a bit to get used to the slimy feeling (and the fact that I was putting actual snail goo on my face lol). I can't say that it has transformed my skin completely, but I have noticed that it does a great job at hydrating and calming the skin. It really is great for when your skin is dealing with any kinds of irritations. It absorbs into my skin almost instantly leaving it very matte but I have a feeling that I need to apply more of the essence in order for it to have an effect which is the only thing I don't like about it.
