I prefer this over the loose powder as it's easier for touch ups. I use this as a setting powder and a blotting powder throughout the day. It does not make me look cakey for whatsoever, but more of a natural smooth matte finish. With a light hand it can set your foundation well without completely mattifying it. It's not chalky and is transparent when blended out.
