I’m not one for matte lips but I gave this a try because it said that it wasn’t drying, and the reviews I’ve read about this product were good. I actually quite love this tint! For a matte lip product, it’s not drying and it doesn’t settle into fine lines badly. I’ve tried other matte lip products before, and they made my lips feel tight and dry and generally awful (and it was a high-end product that cost three times this tint!)

The official product photo swatch for this shade is on the whole accurate, but the real color is perhaps a tiny bit darker and duller. I took a swatch photo on my arm, but it’s a bit hard to see… I tried to take as accurate a swatch as I could. I think the name “Dollish Beige Rose” is quite a fitting name for the shade. I adore this soft rose shade! The tint goes on like a light mousse and leaves a soft chiffony finish. However, the tint it leaves behind after the mousse-like layer wears off is not like the initial color at all… the tint left behind is actually more like a hot pink, or magenta. So, if you don’t want that kind of color change, this tint may not be for you. The good thing is, though, that the tint is super long lasting! Even after eating and drinking, there is still a good amount of color left.

Unfortunately, there is one (rather big) gripe that I have with this tint, that keeps it from getting a perfect 5 stars from me. That lovely mousse-like texture, when it dries on my lips, dries and leaves an orange residue that is noticeable on my lips. It kind of looks like there’s a coating of coral-orange powder on my lips that settles unflatteringly into my lip lines. Every single time I’ve used this tint, this has happened. It contrasts with the color of the tint, and it looks really weird… wiping it off on the back of my hand doesn’t really help, and usually it is only a damp tissue that helps. This is the first time I’ve experienced anything like this in a lip product. After I wipe off the residue though, I don’t have any other problem with this tint. The residue appears after about 2-3 hours of wear. This problem makes me wear this tint less often than I would like, because I don’t want to have to constantly worry if that weird residue appears or not, because sometimes it is difficult to wipe off.

I don’t know if that weird orange residue is a common problem for this tint or not. As far as I know, I haven’t seen anyone else comment about this problem, so I wonder if I just got a faulty batch, or if this is a problem with just this shade, or if somehow no one else gets this problem and only I do. Other than this one problem I have with this tint, I really like this tint and would recommend it!

I mistakenly gave the review 5 stars when I meant to give 4 stars, because I had to resubmit my review! I tried to modify my review but I couldn't, so I just wanted to make this edit here.
