I actually bought this for my brother, as he has dry skin and the cleanser he was using before had a high pH, which made his face even more dry.

This cleanser apparently has a pH of 5, which is pretty much perfect/in the middle.

He felt that this leaves his face less stripped/irritated, and since he doesn't wear makeup/sunscreen, it does the job of just cleansing his face more gently than the average foaming cleanser.
