Blackheads are not a major issue for me, but I do think it's effective in making the pores smaller. As for helping with acne, I think it helps slightly with reducing the redness and size of them, but it's not a miracle product. I bought another one regardless, because it does what is says it does and it is quite gentle on the skin considering its a bha. Would recommend to others.
