Has a light smell, but did not irritate my skin except for leaving 2 small red spots. The mask is soft, not too thick or thin, and adheres well to the face. The essence gives a cooling and soothing feeling and did not irritate the eczema around my eye. There is also a nice amount of essence left (even after storing the mask flat) to use at the end. My face felt softer and a little brighter after using. A part of the mask that didn't really work as intended is the eye flaps; they only could cover half of my eyes so I just folded them a little and covered my bottom eyelids. Overall very nice mask, relaxing to use.
