This product definitely helps to calm the skin down - it removes some of the redness from my face. I got a sunburn and put some of this over it and it really helped sooth the skin! One thing I didn't like so much is that it sort of leaves a film on the skin once it dries kind of like peeling skin. I don't think this alone is enough to moisturize dry skin though.
