It soothes beautifully, especially after a day in the sun or when my skin reacts badly to something. But for some reason it leaves a shiny film, as if I washed my face with egg whites! Since that shine really highlights the large pores around my nose, I only use this in the evening, and it's functioning more as a boost to my normal routine when I've stressed my skin, rather than helping a daily baseline product.
