I haven't tried the original powder so I cannot compare but I enjoy this powder. I originally bought it because I didn't want to shell out the cash for the Too Faced peach powder and while I can't compare those either, I can't see it being any better than this powder. It smoothes out my pores and makes my face look airbrushed. It does have a peach scent but it isn't overbearing and doesn't smell artificial or sweet.
