The cleanser comes out of the pump as an incredibly soft white foam.  I love that it has no scent, and it feels so gentle and nice on my face!  I have sensitive skin that often breaks out when I use a new product, but this cleanser did not irritate me at all - I actually felt that it calmed my face.  2 pumps were enough for my whole face.  It is so gentle that I feel comfortable using it multiple times a day.  I think it would be a good morning cleanser, or a good cleanser to use on a no-makeup day or on a day when my skin is hormonally red/pimply.  However, I don't get the feeling that this would clean thoroughly on a makeup day, even after using makeup remover and an oil cleanser first.
