This is a transparent light gel with shimmer in it. You can't see the shimmer at all once it's on your face. It lightly moisturizes my skin, but I haven't used it long enough to tell if it's actually doing anything. There is niacinamide high up in the ingredients list, so that's good. Has a light fresh scent which doesn't bother me and goes away in a minute. The packaging is great and it feels luxurious. It's an airless pump container.
