The rice mask is hydrating for sure. Not sure about the brightening effects. I haven't used it everyday but have used it when I need extra moisture in winter. The ampoule I haven't used long enough to see the results. I am not sure how long am I supposed to use it. Both has pleasant texture and sinks into skin.
