The texture really is like velvet. It fills fine lines leaving a plump and satin finish. The color does darken and dry down to a matte throughout the day. I purchased the color Glimpse Brick Brown. The scent is sweeter than the other Airy Velvet collections which I prefer (I own Elfish Light Rose which has a more "floral" perfume to it). However, to those sensitive to scents, beware. The fragrance is strong with Peripera velvet tints!
The color lasts for a solid 3-4 hours given you do not eat/drink or lick your lips a lot. It fades gracefully and is easy to reapply if used lightly--this color leaves behind a warm peachy stain (not as noticeable with this color as it is with Peripera's iconic red tints). It's easy to apply too much which makes it more prone to gumming up and looking cakey. That being said, my mom and I are huge fans of Peripera's lip tints. These are no exception. The perfect everyday nude MLBB, easy to throw in the bag and touch-up throughout the day.
I've provided a swatch of the Glimpse Brick Brown (right) in comparison to Elfish Light Rose (left), along with the stains they leave behind. I have very pale skin (Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation in "Light 41 Neutral", Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra in "90 Ivoire N", and Make Up Forever's Ultra HD Invisible Cover foundation in "Y205 Albaster"--all of MAC's shades are too dark for me, sighhhhh). So, please take that into consideration.
