I was previously using a 10% glycolic acid cream, and it was doing more harm than good because it was so harsh, so I opted for this one because I've heard that it is milder. I think it is doing a good job of diminishing some of the more stubborn closed comedones that I consistently suffer from on my forehead, chin, and sides of cheeks. As a plus, it feels rather gentle and doesn't burn.
