The sponge cotton pads is very thin and not very smooth. I've been using the cotton pads as sheet mask by soaking them with either my toner or my essence. Compared to other cotton pads it does not soak up everything and I was able to leave it on my face for about 10-15 minutes. After taking it off, I would pat face with my hand to absorb the product and pat the cotton over my skin as well.
