I think aloe gels are one of the best things to always keep around the house as it can help with so many things. This gel helped me to calm down my irritated skin. I guess it's not that much about a long term effect but about it being to help momentarily. One of my favourite things is that this can be used not only on face and body but for hair as well. I've had a negative experience using a cheap aloe vera gel for my hair but this worked great. It feels stiff and weird after rubbing it in but once it dries (no need to wash it off) my hair feels great and it's way more lightweight than oils.
