The pads smell pleasant if you like the smell of tea tree. If you can't stand it then you should probably avoid this product. Each pad is soaked in product and the exfoliating surfaces are mild. The single pad system is easy to use and good if you need physical exfoliation but overall I feel that it isn't as cost effective as just getting the Cosrx BHA liquid.
