This is a good toner, with a gentle formulation and very watery finish. I liked it best when I put it on a cotton pad and gently wiped my face with it after washing up or putting in a spray bottle and using it as a refreshing mist in the middle of the day. If I put on more than one layer at a time, it made my face very sticky, though, so I wouldn't recommend doubling up during 7 skin method. I didn't find it irritating, but it didn't do much more than that.
