Smell The Roses

My skin type: Oily / Dehydrated / Acne-Prone / Hormonal Acne

This past summer I've tested out a few gel type moisturizers since cream ones break me out way more than the gel ones, and this product is one of the ones I tested. Mostly because I really love the way roses smell and also because I've heard a lot of good things about their other Rose themed products. The packaging for this has some pros and cons, it's very cute but jar/tub type containers get contaminated easily and lose potency faster.

When I first opened the container for this I could immediately smell the scent of roses, and let me tell you, it smells amazing. Typically cheap rose scented products can smell sickly, but this smelled fresh and still does to this day. This also doesn't look like a completely clear gel in the container, it has this weird white-ish tint to it. But once you put it on the skin it just leaves a very dewy look. I will say this by itself is not moisturizing enough, not for my skin type. I did notice some small whiteheads popping up during the two weeks I tried this. It never seems to completely sink into the skin either, even hours later it feels like my skin has a film over it. The moisture you get from this doesn't last long either. While you have it slathered all over your face or on your body it feels great, but once it's gone your skin will feel tight.

Overall Pros:

- Amazing smell

- Cute packaging

- Large amount for small price

Overall Cons:

- Leaves sticky residue

- Leaves skin feeling tight

- Not moisturizing enough / Moisture won't last long

- Packaging causes product to get contaminated easily

- Packaging causes product to lose potency faster

- Broke me out

Would I repurchase this? No, I can't use this on my face and it doesn't do much for my body so there's no point in getting it again.
