I have oily/combination skin with mild to moderate acne and I'm a fan of layering light moisturizing products and using gel textures over creams so I quite like this. I really appreciate the packaging - it's a sturdy, semi-opaque bottle with a pump that comes with a lid! The lid for the pump is fantastic because I don't have to worry about the product accidentally spilling/pumping out when I'm traveling with it.
The ingredient list is short and there is no fragrance so I am less worried about my skin having a bad reaction. I've been using this for the past 2 weeks and it has not broken me out! But please patch test it on your own skin because it is different for everyone. The texture is very interesting, a slightly thicker than water/gel-like consistency that feels nice on the skin. Keep in mind that when you're spreading and tapping it into your skin it can feel a bit stringy or gooey (further proof that it's snail mucin!) but it does sinks into the skin fairly quickly, maybe after a minute or two (when using 1-2 pumps).
Since it has only been 2 weeks, I can't say whether or not it has helped to lighten my acne scars but it does help plump and moisturize my skin. I am also not sure whether or not it has helped with stopping some of my acne but it does help calm my skin and my skin has been clearer lately. I am currently using a retinoid at night and have noticed that this helps with the slight flakiness associated with it! For my skin in the winter it is not moisturizing enough on it's own so I layer it with other products and seal in all the moisture in with a cream/occlusive, but I am interested to see if it would be moisturizing enough for me to use on its own in the summer.
