I was excited to receive my first Etude House product since I had never tried it before, and a sample size set seemed like a good idea so I would get to see how my skin reacts. When I received the item, I was disappointed to find that it was expired in August 2014! Not just a month or so expired, but over a year. Despite this, I decided to keep the product, since I waited a long time for it to arrive and wasn't sure how to properly exchange. I figured since it was never used it might be ok.

My first impression is not that great of the product itself. The essence is a bit sticky and smells a bit like dish soap. The lotion had a nice pearly sheen to it, but had a similar smell and my skin was left a bit sticky feeling after using these products. Though I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the expiry date, I won't be buying these products in full size or otherwise again.
