I purchased this gel for summer to get more light texture and  use it after aloe toner. The texture is pretty thick, so there is no need to take a big amount;enough to take very small amount to cover the face skin . It doesn't absorb quick, so I use it at night; I like my skin in the morning. The skin is hydrated, fresh and bright.
