I use this as a first-step after cleansing. I like best for this purpose because it's gentle, moisturizing, but also full of great ingredients. Using this definitely improves the tone and texture of my skin.

The essence itself has a very thing, water-y like texture. I pump one to two pumps into the palm of my hand, rub my hands together, and then gently pat it into my face and neck.
