I have shoulder length, Asian, black hair and one box was enough to color my hair. It lighten my hair to a nice reddish, brown, tint, not exactly like the box but close enough for me. In direct sunlight, it really shows off the lovely color. It was very easy to follow the instructions and had a slight ammonia scent but nothing too strong. I was very excited to use the product and very happy with the results.
