This is a pretty decent exfoilator. The scent is citrusy, not overpowering, and does not linger on the skin when you wash it off. I'm not sure how much dead skin is actually being taken off your face, because it's obvious that the product is what's causing the pills to form when you rub it against your face. However my face does feel smoother after (I don't notice any sort of brightening effect through). The bad thing is the pump applicator--the nozzle frequently collects dried up product.
