I do feel some tackiness from this gel after it settles but it's very little. I think this is great addition to soothing the skin. It did not break me out.

It has no cooling effect but that's fine. It's very smooth to apply and it it glides around the face easily

It dries down to a normal skin finish, not matte or glowy. The hydration and moisture level is not as high as a moisture cream so i wouldn't rely on this gel solely by itself
