It's neither harsh nor gentle - just in between rolling exfoliation gel. My skin is mixed, with sensitive reddened cheeks (cuperose) and I use this gel twice a week in summer and once in winter. It's enough to get rid of some clogged pores and blackheads. This quantity (160 ml) in a big tube will last you for loooong long time :)
