This cleans very thoroughly while giving a very nice level of hydration. It leaves almost like a film of hydration on the face, and even as I pat my face dry with a towel the hydration remains. Disappointingly, it's breaking me out, and my skin is usually not sensitive at all. Also head's up if you're not into fragrance: this cleanser is HEAVILY fragranced. Whether you like the type of fragrance or not is up to you, but it's there. Just a comparison, I've always been using Hada Labo Gokyujun cleanser which I think of as neutral, and this Neogen cleanser is a lot more fragranced.
