Love this product! I use it as a first essence and it layers brilliantly. The consistency is a bit thicker than water, which makes this soak quickly without leaving a film or a sticky residue.

The essence is lovely for sensitive skin, and I really appreciate the lack of fragrance and other irritating ingredients. The product has a slight brightening effect, probably thanks to the niacinamide, though I wouldn't say this is "whitening" per se. I mostly use this for the extra hydration that this provides. I prefer this to the Missha FTE and will definitely repurchase.
