Review of ETUDE HOUSE Play 101 Setting Powder
.
The ETUDE HOUSE Play 101 Setting Powder completes a smooth and bright skin texture with a single touch.
.
.
The setting powders are packed in long boxes.
.
.
There are 6 colors available.
.
.
The colors are for dull, red, or pale skin types.
.
By the way, the cases are shaped weirdly.
.
.
The brush is integrated into the case, and the brush protection cap comes out of the case as well.
.
Not having to worry about losing the cap is nice.
.
.
The brush was smoother than I expected, and in the center, there was a hole where the powder comes out of.
.
.
Follow the open and close indications on the case for the powder.
.
Having it open will result in spilling powder everywhere.
.
.
Open it and pat it a few times to release the powder.
.
Distribute the powder evenly within the brush by patting it on your hand.
.
.
If you want to open the bottom cap of the case, make sure it's upside-down properly.
.
The powder's loose, so you are going to spill it everywhere.
.
You can't say I didn't warn you.
.
.
The colors on my arm.
.
That's a lot of powder, by the way.
.
It seems like #6 has soft pearls.
.
.
I will be using #1 and #6.
.
.
I only applied a small amount, so it only eliminated some oil and fixated my makeup.
.
.
#6 was great for lighting up the skin.
.
I usually think of highlighters as something that makes the face shine like a light bulb,
.
but this one was very soft and gently brightening.
.
You might be able to see it better when applied on a semi-matte base.
.
.
After applying only base makeups, after applying #1, and after applying #6.
.
The powder particles are very fine, so they were applied evenly.
.
Also, how light the powder felt was a great plus.
.
Usually, powders dry up the base makeups and make the skin feel stuffy.
.
That's why I immediately shouted out in amazement as the Play 101 Setting Powder eliminated minimal oil and fixed my makeup.
.
There is a flaw though - it fails to dispense any powder sometimes.
.
You can just open the bottom cap for the powder, but that's not how it's supposed to be done.
.
It would have been much better if just a bit more powder was pushed out when I tap it on my hand.
