It doesn't prevent oil that much in my experience, but it blots away oil so quickly! It is in a convenient compact with a puff and a mirror, so it is easy to use on the go. I bought this specifically because the powder is colored, not white, so I haven't noticed any sort of white cast. And also, pores do look like smaller. Which is great. I do not recommend for dry skin. I might repurchase this product again.
