I have tried so many lip balms to help with my chronically dry lips - at this point nothing will save me, but I happen to really like this Dr. Jart lip product. The balm goes on nicely, has a moderate shine to it (nothing too intense, it is not glossy but it definitely adds a shine) and helps to hydrate my lips. I like that it is a soft consistency AND I am able to bring it with me when I leave the house because it can be used without needing to put fingers in it. I would say that it is more hydrating than moisturizing, but I think it is suitable for daytime use.
