Such an expensive priducts should be tested first. I have normal, dehydrated, sensitive, reactive 43 years old skin, cannot support layering too many products. The esence is like mosturizer, elastic, silky and dense, heavily fraganced, like expensive parfum, feels luxury. The package is according to the price. Right after application, my cheeks become red and every time I use it, I have breakouts (not serious, but is unusual for my skin). Not sure if it clocks the pores or my skin is adapting to it. In the morning the skin is calm and elastic and when I rinse my face, I can feel the product. Works well for the pillow marks. I used it without oclusive and only PM, may be I have to try it without anything else. Not sure about it, would be perfect for dry or mature skin and dry climate  - I am 43 and it is too much for me. Two stars less - one for the franagance and one for the breakouts.
