has a light herbal scent. i didn't realize this was a mud mask and thought it would dry out my skin but it didn't! i did have some irritation around my nose and mouth and it did sting on those areas though. the red irritation did look less red after the mask. i only put a thin layer and it dried too quickly - if you use this mask make sure you put on a good amount because if you only put a thin layer it will dry out way before it's time to wash it off. overall it was ok but i don't think i will repuchase.
