I bought this sponge to see if it could be a cheaper alternative to the Beauty Blender or the Real Techniques sponge.
When dry, the sponge is really dense and hard, when you wet it it gets a lot bigger, still dense but much softer. Not as soft as the BB or RT ones, tho.
It works better with not very fluid/liquid foundations, but with creamier/more dense ones; it's ok to apply the foundation, it works quite fast too since it's very big, and you can reach every part of your face thanks to the pointy side.
I don't like to apply the concealer under my eyes, tho, because it's slower than other sponges and, most important, it's too hard for that part of the face.
Works perfectly to colour correct with cream products on the face and to apply cream blushes.
Another downside is that it takes a really long time to dry up completely (more than 2 days) and this makes me think that it will get ruined pretty fast.
Conclusion: not a bad sponge, you can make it work, but I won't repurchase it because I've tried better options.
