To be clear, I bought this for my brother, so I have not used it personally. However, I have put a small amount on my hand to get a feel for the texture, scent, etc. This has a scent of citrus with a hint of pine. It is not quite as strong as the toner. There are little scrubbing beads in the formula, I assume they are plastic but I’m not positive. Although it might be a bit difficult to tell in the picture, it does foam up when you rub it in. Probably the best way to use it is to get your face wet and rub about a pea to dime sized dollop in circular motions gently with your fingertips for at least 30 seconds until you get a nice lather, then rinse. Although I just used it on my hand it felt cool and refreshing, and my hand felt nice and clean afterwards, as well as pretty smooth. I almost want to use it myself... As a cleanser it seems to do its job quite well and I definitely recommend it. As for the other products in the Forest line, they're kind of meh. But this one is great.
