This works decently well. It does have alcohol in it (denatured alcohol if I remember correctly). I tend to layer my toners, but I can not with this formula. I tend to use it with a cotton pad if I wore a heavy face of makeup that day to make sure there are no remnants left after I have duel cleansed my face.
