The essence is a milky, soft essence that I always feel like is more soothing than the clear kind. The mask is made out of a thick cotton fabric with slits for adjustments but it didn't really fit my face that well. I had this on for a little over 20 minutes and my skin felt soft and hydrated. I would repurchase this again.
